Thanks to those that joined us on Sunday 6th October for a day in celebration of Colour at The Farmhouse at Redcoats. We were joined by expert speakers and creatives, each offering their unique take on colour. The ambition of the day was to revive creativity, inspire people to be bolder in their colour schemes, think a little deeper about how colour can influence psychology and ultimately come together in the meeting of the interesting and the interested. Everything we do is to act as a hive for curious minds, so it was wonderful to see you let your curiosity loose in celebration of colour.
A run down of the day was as follows:

Farrow & Ball Colour
Patrick O’Donnell

If you are anything like us at Bumblebee Collective, then you will use Farrow & Ball’s iconic colours as code for how you describe colour and just holding their colour pallets fills you with a sense of potential. Farrow & Ball International Brand Ambassador Patrick certainly knows his Stiffkey from his Lulworth.
He will share with us how he builds stunning colour schemes and introduce us to a brand new range of colours ‘Inspired by Nature’. He will be available for a Q&A after his talk so come armed with colour conundrums from your own home.
Style me Colourful
Karen Peters Amphlett
2:50 - 3:15pm
Finding your true colours, those that flatter you the most, is transformational in terms of how it can make you look and feel and also how others perceive you. Style by KPA specialises in helping people introduce more colour into their wardrobes, she will take us through her colour consultation approach sharing ways to be bolder and brighter.
She will be available for a Q&A afterwards so if you want to ask how to introduce your favourite colour in a way that is most flattering to you or which colour to wear for a certain occasion.
Garden Colour Theory (& how to break it)
Beth Atkinson
3:20 - 3:40pm
Garden creator at The Farmhouse will talk you through her experiments with colour. As we come into bulb planting season it is a great time to think about how you plant up for colour in all seasons. Ex-Saatchi, she swapped her PowerPoint for a pointed garden fork and founded Pots in Bloom along the way. She does enjoy the odd bit of showing off with her Latin names, which sounds brilliant with her Welsh lilt.
