Bumblebee Collective is a hive for curious minds, bringing together the interested and the interesting. As busy bees, we find that the frenetic pace of modern life can stamp out curiosity and connection, so our mission is to bring people together to spark conversation, cross pollinate ideas and inspire action.

There’s no better day to nourish the mind, body and soul than on a Sunday. On 25th November we are putting on the Ultimate Sunday at The Barns at Redcoats, set within a 600-year-old farmhouse in the beautiful, rolling hills of Hertfordshire, just 30 minutes from London.

Escape for a whole day of relaxation, meeting new people and feeding your curiosity with a series of talks on the theme of Discovery, along with top quality feasting, creative workshops, wine tastings, fire-pit conversations and a series of Redcoats’ Rambling walks where you can chew the cud on diverse topics in the great outdoors.

Enjoy a series of curated talks from fascinating characters...

Cross pollination is the order of the day, listen to talks on diverse topics covering everything from politics, fashion, business and art.

Like every good Sunday, food and drink will take pride of place…

Kick off the day with our Bloody Mary bar, Indulge in our Farmers’ Roast in the main restaurant, featuring locally-sourced Maydencroft Manor native-breed English Longhorn beef, handpicked wine and phenomenal cheese. If you want to have a lazy, grazey Sunday we will be serving relaxed food in the barns throughout the day, right through to the quintessential Sunday evening toasty in front of our giant screen showing the final grand prix of the season just after 5pm.

Discover your creative side…

Book onto a creative workshop. We will have wreath making going on around the hearth in the old kitchen. We don’t deal in Sunday Blues, unless it is of the musical variety and our discovery playlist has been curated by songwriter and producer Nick Atkinson from The Barn Music who will be around for a chat by the fire-pit to talk about his glory days in the band Rooster and his work developing artists in the charts today.

Make a night of it...

For those looking for ultimate comfort why not stay over in one of our beautiful bedrooms and feel totally revived by in room massage treatments. Start your Monday on the best possible foot with a power shower, slap up farmer’s breakfast and you can still be at your desk by 9 as commuter stations Stevenage and Hitchin are just down the road.
